Understanding Asian Bears to Secure Their Future
In 2007, two books published by the Japan Bear Network (JBN) were made available on the JBN website. Titled Asian bears - the current condition and the future and, in English, Understanding Asian Bears to Secure Their Future, the books contain information about the natural lifestyles of bears, their relationship with humans, as well as what laws currently protect bears and their conservation in the wild.

Asian bear map
Asian bears face a significant number of threats, such as the destruction of their habitats, hunting, poaching, trade of bear parts and so on. The map that follows displays the major threats faced by Asian bears; it is also included in Asian bears - the current condition and the future.
